Assistant Professor; full-time, one-year appointment begins August 2008.  MFA or equivalent, exhibition record and teaching experience beyond graduate school required.

 

The Department of Transmedia features an interdisciplinary transmedia core, and offers BFA and MFA degrees in Art Photography, Film Art, Art Video and Computer Art.

 

The Department is seeking an artist to teach a mix of undergraduate video art production and interdisciplinary transmedia studios. Applicants should be video artists with interdisciplinary, new media experience. Knowledge of video art history and a wide range of video art genres (narrative, documentary, video performance, installation) is required. It will be expected that media arts history and theory will be integrated into studio courses. This position requires a competency in non-linear editing, using Final Cut Pro, PhotoShop, AfterEffects, etc..
