EXPOSITION ET VERNISSAGE- MAPPING FESTIVAL
Dans une semaine, le Mapping Festival ouvrira ses portes au Bâtiment d’art contemporain (BAC) le 6 mai 2010 à partir de 18h pour le vernissage de l’exposition qui durera tout le long du festival jusqu’au 16 mai.

On May 6th 2010 from 6PM, The Mapping Festival will begin with the exhibition's opening at the BÃtiment d'Art Contemporain (Contemporaray Art Building). This exhibition will last until May 16th, during all the festival.

Oeuvre pour 7 écrans, le spectateur est assailli puis envahi physiquement et mentalement par un flux écrasant de stimuli. Bouleversé dans ses repères sensoriels, chacun est amené à vivre une expérience d'une grande intensité, à la fois personnelle, totale et unique.
Dans le cadre du vernissage de l'exposition, la partition sonore de POL sera mixée en live par Kurt Hentschläger.

POL, a semi-surround environment made of 7 video screens subjects the audience to an overwhelming flow of stimuli and strives to achieve a perceptional situation of disorientation and recollection. A mind-boogeling intense experience
During the opening of the exhibition Kurt Hentschläger will do a live mix of POL's soundtrack. .

Un miroir très particulier reflète l'image de celui qui souhaite s'y admirer d'une façon bien inhabituelle, permettant de jouer avec son corps dans l'espace, mais aussi dans le temps ! Pour le vernissage, une danseuse prend possession du « Mirror of Broken Time ».

Installation réalisée par deux photographes, dont l'un a perdu la vue il y a deux ans. Le spectateur plonge dans un espace totalement obscur où il perd ses repères habituels, où il doit prendre parti, s'engager.
Guidà par des sons circulant autour de lui, il est invità à un parcours immersif et sensoriel dÃroutant, oà il apprend à repenser son rapport à la vue et, à vivre et ressentir l'image avec d'autres sens.

This installation was created by two photographers, one of them having lost his eyesight two years ago. The spectator plunges into a completely dark space where he loses his habitual reference points and thus has to participate.
Guided by sounds floating around him, he goes for a disconcerting and absorbing walk, making him rethink his consciousness of sight and live and feel images with other senses.

In a dark and closed space, a sound source remains suspended dust projected light. This dynamic tension has a direct effect on the behavior of gravitational microscopic dust.

Raphael Diluzio est enseignant et chercheur à l'Università du Maine. Il nous prÃsente ici son "ice-stallation", c'est-Ã-dire une projection ayant pour support un bloc de glace, questionnant le rapport entre le permanent et le temporaire, le numÃrique et l'organique, le virtuel et le rÃel. AprÃs un accident lui causant une amnÃsie, il explore avec sensibilità la thÃmatique de la perte de mÃmoire et d'identitÃ.

Raphael Diluzio is a teacher and researcher at the University of Maine. He presents here his "ice-stallation," that is to say, with a projection to support a block of ice, questioning the relationship between the permanent and temporary, digital and organic, the virtual and the real . After an accident that caused him amnesia, he explores with sensitivity the theme of loss of memory and identity.
