THE SCHOOL FOR VULNERABLE LITTLE TINIES
(AFTER LAURIE WEEKS)

Der Schriftsteller Achim Wagner liest, es werden
kÃnstlerische Arbeiten von Sebastian KÃrbs und Berenice
GÃttler zu sehen und performative Eingriffe (frei nach
Laurie Weeks) zu spÃren sein.
Der Rahmen des Abends ist die Befragung des
Formates Lesung als ein Ort der unterschiedlichen
Performanzen.Inhaltlich von zwei verschiedenen, vielleicht
sogar kontrÃren narrativen StrÃngen ausgehend, fÃhrt
dieser Performing Encounters zusammen, was
zusammen gehÃren sollte: Rezitieren und Rezeption in
einem intimen Rahmen. Achim Wagner, der als Dichter und
Schriftsteller seit 2011 in Berlin und Ankara lebt und
arbeitet, stellt neue Poesie vor, die im vergangenen Jahr
wÃhrend eines Projektes mit syrischen FlÃchtlingen
entstand. Um die Hierarchien der klassischen,
hierarchischen Lesung so weit wie mÃglich aufzubrechen,
zitieren wir im Titel die School for Vulnerable Little
Tinies, eine alternative Schriftstellerklasse der
feministischen Dichterin Laurie Weeks. Weeks wird nicht
nur zitiert - ihre Anweisungen aus dem Off via SMS an
die BesucherInnen der Lesung grenzen die Veranstaltung
performativ ein. So soll nicht nur das hierarchische
VerhÃltnis Redner und Auditorium befragt, sondern vor
allem die PrÃsenz der BesucherInnen gefordert werden.
Ziel ist es, eine Schule des gegenseitigen
Wahrnehmens zu erzeugen, in der das VerhÃltnis von
Lernenden und Lehrenden fÃr einen Abend aufgehoben
ist.
Die Besucher, die sich aktiv an der Performance
beteiligen mÃchten, bitten wir in der Zeit von 20:00-22:00
Uhr um ihre Mobilnummer.

Sebastian KÃrbs and Berenice GÃttler will be shown
and performative internventions (loosely based on
Laurie Weeks) will be felt.
The centre of the evening is the examination of the format
reading as a place of different performances.
Content wise starting from two different, maybe even
opposite, narrative strands, this Performing Encounters
brings together what should belong together: Recitation
and reception within an intimate setting. Achim Wagner, a
poet and writer, who lives and works in Berlin and Ankara
since 2011, will present new poetry, he developed last
year during a project with syrian refugees. In order to
break up the hierarchies of the classic, hierarchic reading
as much as possible, in the title we quote the School for
Vulnerable Little Tinies, an alternative writing class, taught
and developed by the feminist poet Laurie Weeks. Weeks
will not only be quoted - her offstage instructions via
SMS to the reading's audience will enclose the event in a
performative way. Thus not only the hierarchical
relationship between orator and audience will be
questioned but also the presence of the spectators will be
required. The goal is to create a school of mutual
awareness, that for one evening lifts the ratio of learners
and teachers.
From 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm we kindly ask those who
would like to be an active part of the performance for their
cell phone number.
