FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
John Hartman Durango Internet Resources, LLC 17897 Hwy 160 W Durango, Colorado 81301USA 970-375-2400 (phone) 970-259-6020 (fax) February 20,2003 Durango
Internet Resources, LLC of Durango, Colorado, announces the release of the
Premiere Directory Program (PDP) and NationalIndex.com. The primary objective of the PDP is to boost
economic growth through utilizing first level city domains (.com’s,.net’s etc.)
to generate targeted traffic for geographically located businesses. The company has developed this innovative
software program to address the ever-growing problems with search engines and
the “pay to play” concept that most search engines are implementing in order
for a website to be listed in a timely fashion, if at all. The
concept of the program is to organize businesses by specific topics in a
database that can be accessed by a key word search as well as a drill down
index. The system eliminates the need for intrusive banner ads, pop-ups and
billboard style advertising by containing all business promotions in a central
location that is easily accessed by interested website visitors. Businesses can
participate in a second level of promotion by easily creating their own ads
that interact in a “Community Connection” module that is located in a strategic
position on the city sites home page. Advanced & automated development
tools allow site managers to easily create discount coupons, real estate
presentations, customer reviews, local FAQ’s and the program even has an events
input tool that applies the businesses logo, who listed the event, next to the
event listing. These smart business promotion features make a major impact in
how the site is first perceived by Internet users. The company believes in
non-push advertising and feels that site visitors should be greeted with
informative information first. If the visitor is seeking business information,
the system will lead them to there particular interest immediately. “We
believe this to be an extremely viable method to help stimulate economic growth
in communities as well as state and even country levels” says the company CEO,
John Hartman. “As it is right now, the
majority of businesses cannot be found easily on search engines. As the pay to play strategy takes over
amongst all of the relevant search engines, small business will be once again
overcome by big business. Associating businesses with geographic and/or
business specific domains simply makes good sense. The way we see it, City,
State, Country & business specific domains can play an important roll in
the future economic development of their business community by responsibly
providing information and hosting area businesses that can easily be accessed
by the interested”. Hartman says they will continue to market the program and
develop new modules that clients will be able to utilize to build on their own
web presentations. “We are so excited
about the potential that our program has for the economic development of
individual communities. We’ve seen fabulous results on our site, I have no
doubt that our solution will be a major asset to other city sites as well as
the clients they represent.” Please
