Mr. Biriukov seems to have missed this point. There was WIDESPREAD questioning (even in the American mainstream press) of the possibility of government involvement in the 1999 Moscow bombings that provided the justification for the Second Chechnyan War. I don't know fuckall about the NRA or any such bombing they may/may not be involved in, but if it WERE a government bombing designed to discredit the left, it wouldn't be the first show trial in Russia's history. ~Mr. Bad -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ /\____/\ Mr. Bad <mr.bad@pigdog.org> \ / Pigdog Journal | http://pigdog.org/ | *Stay*Real*Bad* | (X \x) ( ((**) "If it's not bad, don't do it. \ <vvv> If it's not crazy, don't say it." - Ben Franklin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
