All manner of attempts to discredit this bit of news have arised and why
not? This has the potential to be far more damaging to the Bush
administration than anything that has occured on his watch yet - yes
anything. We are talking about storing nuclear devices in a foreign
country, in a war zone. For what?

There could be several explanations for all of this. One is that the
date was added or changed by GooTube to discredit, as was apparently
done with the Pentagon images we got years ago (the date of September 12
was clearly visible on those images).
Another possible explanation is that there were two separate ammunitions
dumps that caugh fire and were completely destroyed and these happened
several months apart.
Still another is that it took FIVE MONTHS for news to reach us of the
destruction of the Falcon base and in this case, as in the second, we
see the efficiency and freedom of the west's news media. Do you still
think it is a good idea to keep journalists away from the action?
Did I miss any possibilities?
Thanks for pointing this out. This information is key, somehow, I am
sure. This post is getting attached to the video at my blog (as an added
comment) which, at my end anyway, is still functioning.

Apparently there have been some efforts to discredit the existence of
small scale tactical nukes. They aren't new folks:

It was suggested in a post that the explosion in question could not have
been a tactical nuke because there was no electro-magnetic pulse (EMP)
to 'knock-out' the cameras filming this event. Well it should be
remembered that the Enola Gay, the B-29, that dropped the bomb on
Nagasaki wasn't knocked out of the air by EMP! You can verify this by
doing a search on "nuclear emp" in Wikipedia. For small nuclear
detonations, such as tactical nukes, the resultant EMP in magnitude
enough to do this would have a very short range, 1/4 mile or less. The
explosion we witnessed at Camp Falcon is entirely consistent with that
of a tactical nuclear device with a 10 to 20 kiloton capacity.
The DoD isn't saying much about the incident. They're zipped tight about
the incident. When all of this is considered, it does not bode well. As
I said before, I hope this was not a tactical nuke, but I have my
nagging doubts almost to certainty that it was.
Thank-you Eric for the post. The implications are of a magnitude that
boggles the mind. If this was a tactical nuke, what was it doing in
Bagdhad? Was it designed for a 'false flag' event to initiate
hostilities with Iran? I hope there are enough Commanders in the field
in Iraq that possess the sense to recognize the lunacy of this and the
courage to blow the whistle. I'm not sure we're getting enough
information out of this area. I wish we could get more.

There has been a steady campaign, as well, to paint this explosion as
some other kind of very large bomb. Here I provide links to video
evidence showing what happens when the largest non-nuclear bomb ever
created goes off, the MOAB. You will notice that the MOAB, unlike the
bomb that went off in Iraq, does not bathe the entire landscape in white
light, which is a form of electromagnetic radiation (thermal radiation,
or heat, is not the same color). As well, it does not mushroom, this the
biggest non-nuclear device ever devised. The last link, below, shows the
first ever H-bomb detonation, in which we see the brilliant flash first
(clearly visible even in broad daylight), as in the Iraq videos.
The Iraqi video is useful in that it shows a much further angle, showing
just how much of the city is bathed in light and the Marines' video is
useful in that we see concern about fallout in regards to wind
directions and that the sirens did not go off until the mushroom went
off.

American killed during Oaxaca shootout

OAXACA, Mexico - Two shootouts left an American journalist dead and
several other people injured Friday in this city where protesters
have barricaded streets and occupied government buildings for five
months in a bid to oust the governor.
The gunfire erupted in a rough Oaxaca neighborhood when armed men
tried to remove a blockade set up by protesters who are demanding the
resignation of Oaxaca Gov. Ulises Ruiz, said a police official who
was not authorized to speak on the record. Both sides fired but it
was not clear who shot first, he said.
The American victim was identified by friends as Bradley Roland Will,
36, of New York City. He was shot in the abdomen and died later at a
Red Cross hospital, police and witnesses said. Hinrich Schuleze, a
co-worker of Will's, said he worked for Indymedia.org, an independent
Web-based media organization.
An Associated Press video taken at the scene shows people ducking for
cover as shots rattle out from many directions. A group of six men
are seen running through the street with Will.
Oswaldo Ramirez, a photographer for the Mexico City daily newspaper
Milenio was shot in the foot and taken to hospital, Milenio said on
its Web site.
The second shoot-out erupted between protesters and an armed group
outside the state prosecutors office and left three people injured,
the police official said.
Protesters have taken over the historic city since June, building
barricades, driving out police and burning buses. The protesters
accuse the governor of rigging the 2004 election to win office and
using violence against his opponents.
Friday's clash came a day after teachers agreed to end their
five-month-old strike that has kept 1.3 million children out of
classes in the state of Oaxaca _ a move that was expected to take the
sting out of the protests.
The teachers have been camped out in Oaxaca city's colonial center
since May when they first walked out to demand higher pay and better
working conditions.
After police attacked one of their demonstrations in June, they
extended their demands to include a call for the resignation of Ruiz
and were joined by leftists, students and Indian groups.
Police and armed gangs have led sporadic attacks on the protesters,
and at least five people have been killed in violence related to the
unrest.
The lawlessness has led to armed groups of protesters and other
residents patrolling the streets, frequently capturing and beating
suspected criminals.
On Thursday, just over 31,000 teachers voted to end their walkout,
union secretary Ezequiel Rosales said. More than 20,000 voted to
continue the strike.
Union leaders said they planned to meet with Interior Secretary
Carlos Abascal in Mexico City on Friday to hammer out conditions for
their return to classes.
Rosales said the teachers would demand that the government guarantee
the safety of returning teachers, who fear reprisals from Ruiz
supporters. Union leaders also are seeking the release of four jailed
protesters and the cancellation of outstanding arrest warrants
against demonstrators.

voted Thursday to end a five-month-old strike, allowing 1.3 million
children to return to classes and potentially taking the sting out of
anti-government protests besieging this historic city.
The unrest was evident earlier in the day as protesters seized a city
bus, forced passengers off and set it ablaze.
Authorities have said they hope that the situation will improve when
teachers return to work on Monday.
Just over 31,000 union members voted to end the walkout, union
secretary Ezequiel Rosales announced in a meeting at a hotel. More
than 20,000 voted to continue the strike.
Some striking teachers had already returned to their classrooms. In
the days prior to Thursday's vote about 4,000 of Oaxaca state's
14,000 schools have reopened, according to union officials.
Striking teachers have been camped out in Oaxaca's colonial center
since May when they first walked out to demand higher pay and better
working conditions.
After police attacked one of their demonstrations in June, they
extended their demands to include a call for the resignation of
Oaxaca Gov. Ulises Ruiz. They were joined by leftists, students and
Indian groups who accuse Ruiz of rigging the 2004 election to win
office and sending groups of thugs to attacks his opponents.
Protesters built makeshift barricades, burned buses, chased the
police out of town and took over radio stations. Police and armed
gangs led sporadic attacks on the protesters and five people have
been killed.
On Thursday, demonstrators retreated from a radio stations they
seized in August, saying the government had disrupted the
transmission and they were no longer able to broadcast.
However, the protesters that joined the teachers have formed a group
called the Oaxaca People's Assembly, which has promised to continue
efforts to oust the governor. The assembly Friday plans to blockade
highways, beef up barricades and boycott commercial centers.
Ruiz has repeatedly asked federal authorities to send in troops, but
President Vicente Fox has insisted in trying to solve the dispute
through negotiations.

Brad Will was a friend, comrade & committed Earth First! activist who I
met at the last 2 national EF! gatherings in Florida & Virginia, and who
was involved in numerous struggles in defense of the earth during the

Mexican government forces in Oaxaca, where he was documenting the social
struggle there for Indymedia.
Call to Action Across the US Against Mexican Consulates

This is a call to action to remember Brad, show solidarity with the
teachers and protesters of Oaxaca, and attempt to interrupt the invasion
of Oaxaca that Fox is beginning.
Yesterday, as many who are reading this probably already know, an
amazing companero, journalist, anarchist, freedom fighter, earth
firster, musician, and human being was shot down and killed in cold
blood, along with three other companeros, by officials employed by the
Mexican Government. His name was Bradley Will, and he was shot at the
barricades of Santa Lucia, in Oaxaca, Mexico, as an indymedia reporter
telling the story of the amazing resistance of people of Oaxaca. For
over five months residents have occupied the streets in an attempt to
oust the corrupt, brutal governor Ruiz, and achieve the dignity,
freedom, and autonomy initially sought after by the teacher's strike
which was so brutally repressed by that same governor.
While it is not yet clear which segment of the Mexican government is
responsible, it is clear from the many photos taken during the shooting
that the chief of police, another policeman, and important members of
PRI party which supports Ruiz were involved.
To add insult to injury, President Fox is now using the tragedy of these
deaths as an excuse to bring in federal forces, to restore "lawfulness."
We can only assume, given the student massacre of '68, the history of
repression of the Zapatistas by Fox's military, his recent threats to
invade Oaxaca, and the fact that his own government is instigated in the
murders, that Fox means to repress the rebellion.
Days before we US residents may have been watching Oaxaca, waiting to
"see what happens." No longer shall we wait. We are now a part of this
unfolding history. If the Mexican Army invades Oaxaca, it will be with
the financial and military support of the US government. We can not let
this happen.
On Monday morning, October 30th, Mexican consulates around the US will
attempt to open their doors, to continue business as usual. But they
will not succeed in doing so, because we will be there to stop them. At
every embassy, at every consulate, we will be there, to remember Brad,
to support the teacher's strike, to fight alongside Oaxacans in their
struggle for self-determination and autonomy from the corrupt Mexican
government. This call to action against consulates is in line with what
companer@s from the APPO have already called for earlier this week
before this shooting.
We already know of many groups who are planning for Monday, and every
day following if necessary. Please spread this call to action as wide as
possible. Spread the word: to activists, teachers, students, earth
firsters, latino social services centers, places where day laborers
gather, anti-racist action groups, food not bombs chapters, peace and
justice organizations, Zapatista solidarity groups, anarchist people of
color chapters, people you work with, your neighbors. Copy and paste
this the whole world wide, and do so quickly. And please translate a
version of this to Spanish as well, and spread it around!

NYC Indymedia volunteer Brad Will killed in attack by Paramilitaries in
Oaxaca
Paramilitaries attacked the barricades near Oaxaca's office of justice,
in the Calicanto municipality. There are sereveal injured and one person
dead.
Indymedia New York's reporter, BRAD WILL, was shot in the chest and died
before he made it to the hospital; Oswaldo Ram=EDrez, photographer for
Milenio Diario, has also been shot and is injured in the foot.
THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT BRAD FROM A PERSON WHO WAS THERE WITH
HIM:
- He was at the Santa Lucia Barricade
- He was shot from a distance of 30-40 meters right in the pit of the
stomach
- It was urban paramilitary Priistas in plain clothes who shot him
- People then pulled him away to safety; its confirmed that he's dead;
his body is at the red cross in oaxaca
- 3 additional dead (4 total); 1 member of radio universidad was
injured, he went to the hospital in a volkswagen cuz no ambulances would
come
