With highest respect for Alan's judgment it may be wondered how
rabidity now differs from that of the 1960s, the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s,
2000s, and more to come, and if all goes well in humanoid affairs
will continue until our rabidly disputatious universe quietens into
the silence from which it exploded with frustration at being all too
inactive and will assuredly recycle infinitely.

Protests are rabid, hurray, and are most often suppressed by opposing
claims of "they're going too far, danger ahead, more civility is
urgent." Help, help, police do your duty, bang heads, help, help,
military, barbeque insurgents, help, help, oh preachers of doom,
protect us from onanisms not our own.
