Re: <nettime> nettime-l Digest, Vol 64, Issue 14: never meet A.Swartz |
That said, sadly J.Swift discovered this "remote part of the world" ages ago. The Hounhyms and their slaves (curiously named: YAHOOS) represent a "desire of death"-metanation. Who has the stomach to read the latest pages of (uncensored) Gulliver's travels can understand what is the "pure-reason utopia". SaintSimon, Comte, Heine and the left wing hegelians (Ruge, Strauss, Feuerbach and Bauer) understood very well that those "reasons" are part of aan historical process that makes salary ("nature") in hard opposition of capital ("reason": thanks, Kant, Croce, ecc....). The two guys Friedrich and Karl carried those considerations in scientific, then irreversible, moods. Everyone that doesn't realize behind smiles and rethorics are monsters, and prefers not to close his hearthdoors to those methaphysics, antihistorical puppets and their bosses, is a martyr. It happened to Carlo Michelstaedter: and here is a worse remake. Where the responsabilities? Not on the monsters' side. Those golems are "the objectivity", not subjects. They prepare another Dresda show for another Vonnegut's sad-siren story. # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: http://mx.kein.org/mailman/listinfo/nettime-l # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@kein.org
