Dear Michael I'm a little puzzled by your analysis that appears to elide any recognition of the long history of collectivist and relational production, whether formally or informally engendered, that can be found in many disciplines. I wonder if this is also an illustration of your desire (expressed rather problematically earlier) for heroic, aesthetic, greatness as embodied in the individual artist's practice held together by an assemblage of aura (and market recognition)? Am I misreading your views here?
