One of the more interesting aspects of Anglo-American porn law is that the original intent was to protect child-models, not to limit what adults see. Obviously the thrust (so to speak) of laws over the last decade (including those restricting morphed kiddie-porn) has replaced this original, worthy intent with smarmy moralism. New York photographer Ellen Brooks has been testing this with digital transfers of various body parts (or entire bodies) among images from a body of life-sized photos of nude adolescents, taken 15-20 years ago. Thus the models are now of age.Brooks is not in jail (at least, not yet.)
