The car will function as a promotional vehicle, distributing written statements and questions by the artists which address the exhibition's theme and other related issues. The printed matter will provide Mackenna and Janssen with a pretext by which to initiate meetings and start conversations with a broad range of respondents. The web site will feature the visual and verbal records of these encounters and provide advance information on the locations, dates and times of the car's movements across the region. The site will also contain details of passengers who will join the artists as their guests at various points along the route. OSF has opened a free and independent television station supported by political, cultural and trade union organisations and last but not least some dedicated individuals who do not fit into the above categories. We have already been threatened with confiscation of our means of broadcast and legal (and possibly criminal) action in court by the french government. The exercice of the right to free expression is a road filled with many formalities to be respected. It seems to be easier and more evident for the government in France to prosecute those who do not respect these petty formalities than to prosecute those who have abused the confidence of their office as public service or mis-used public funds. We call for your urgent support to defend the principe of freedom of expression throughout the world! GOOD DAY! Here we sent " the OFFICIAL " CALL to participate in the SECOND CONTINENTAL ENCOUNTER and the THIRD INTERCONTINENTAL ENCOUNTER FOR THE HUMANITY and AGAINST the NEOLIBERALISM (third intergalactic) and the corresponding INVITATION so that everybody comes to such, between July 25 and August 5 of the current year, this is "informally formal", since the important thing is to continue developing the initial proposal >from the First Intergalactic, tabled by the EZLN and continued during the Second Intergalactic. Now the Intergalactic returns to the American continent (the south also exists) more convultionated than ever. After all, the world is every day but an immense Chiapas, as a saying of Saramago and the intercontinental characteris a must. In principle, the intergalactics will be scattered through the city, lodgging in montevideans homes and using the same spaces of the urban infrastructure ( social clubs, cooperatives's communal halls, sport centers, plazas and parks, cinemas and theaters, streets, avenues and boulevards) to debate the great subjects that make our everyday's live, everything facing the inhabitants of the city ( a millon and a half). Dates: The II Continental Encounter will begin July the 25 and lasted until the 30. The III Intercontinental Encounter will begin July the 31 until the 5 of August. Both encounters are joined because many times, we neither have sufficient money nor time or a way to travel but once. Costs: For economic reasons, we thought that the fee for inscriptions shoud be the mimimun: around One hundred and fifty ($150 US) for Latin America and Africans and for the rest a little bit more, but always with an ample criterion, considering that there is to eat and to travel. Also as costumary, we will accept fraternal contributions and people could pay the inscription fee in advance or at least when arriving at Montevideo. It is always better to pay before but. Ejem... ejem... It is better late than never. The account opened for the remission of returns and / checks from outside Uruguay is: VIA: SUISSE BANK CORPORATION NEW YORK BRANCH 395 P. Or BOX Church Street Station New York (the USA) to the account of: COFAC/URUGUAY - No.101.WA.098.361.000 to name of: TELMO TO CHEEK R. It counts No.14.088, OFAC/Agencia Center,Montevideo, Uruguay. (BETTER TO WRITE WHO SEND AND FROM WHERE YOU ARE SENDING IT...) **** And for Uruguay only: TELMO To CHEEK R. / Account no. 14,088, OCFcAcC, agency CENTER, Montevideo, Uruguay. " POOR LITTLE ONE OF US, SO SMALL AND WITH ALL THE REVOLUTION TO MAKE ", instructions to have self-pity. Compliments of the "Zup ". ************** So as the Encounters begin!!!. and as the " intergalactics " arrive , specially the " veterans ", we will be adopting the ways and the customary style developped in Chiapas. WE DO NOT have any computarized system, but only a mimimun infrastructure, that is the reason why if somebody comes with his (her) portable PC, it will be great. The same goes for translators, interpret, writers, social communicators, bilingues, trilingues, polyglotes... your presence will be highly appreciated. In July and August, here in the south is a total and crude COLD WINTER, therefore , DO Not forget to bring warm clothes . We will drink a lot of MATE (ilex paraguayensis) by the morning, afternoon and night, a drink -par excellence- of this region and of which it's says that "when share it, give GREAT IDEAS ". Note bene: As to inform you , before these magnificents encountes start, we will have our owns : an encounter " Montevideo " and another " Uruguay" to get the spirit. Here we apply the Instruction "To follow Ahead" (another one of the Sup!): "In front of a mirror, anyone realize that we are not the best of ourselve. But there is always something that can be saved: one nail for example...". ********* As for the " objectives " and " contents ": The great subjects as of the First intergalactic add to the " cross-sectional ones " of the Second: politics, economy, first nations, culture, society, patriarcade, network of resistances, plus the contributions of this complete year, so rich in experiences contributed by all of us who are... All these will be debated in the tables and subtables... so many whatever are necessary... combining with cultural, academics, artistics, scientists parallel acts of all kind (and why no! fiesta, tango and candombe.) Things to remember: * Preinscriptions from today to the 20 of June in fornt of the local organizers of each town, zone, region, city, country... (Please, make organizational agreements). * Inscriptions until the 20 of July * Mimimun fee around ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLARES by person, for lodging and food (but just in case, come well nourrished...), propaganda and solidarity. The payment could be make through the account mentionned above or when arriving at Montevideo. * Remember that it is also possible to contribute to a "shared fund " or to make " personal donations " .
