<nettime> Slashdot: Open Source and Capitalism |
On slashdot an interesting discussion is going on about how Open Source really is a capitalist movement, and not communist as some people might think :-) Slashdot, by the way, has been my main source of information the last few months. It's a real interactive nerd magazine for the Linux community (hence the subtitle: 'News for Nerds. Stuff that matters.'). It has a nice mixture of articles, discussion (often heated), little jokes, polls, book reviews, links to related sites. Most important: it's very up-to-date (changes 10 times a day or more) and doesn't explain everything a million times like all the other news sites do. This, of course, is only possible with a very specific and knowledgeable audience like Linux advocates. Have a look and judge for yourself.
