PRESS RELEASE

Bucharest, September 28, 2009 - BUCHAREST BIENNALE has appointed new executive director
IOANA NITU is the new executive director of BUCHAREST BIENNALE. Nitu  
is a cultural manager and she was assistant director of Pavilion  
UniCredit - center for contemporary art & culture between 2008-2009.  
She co-curated recently the project "Economy of Effort" (with Silvia  
Vasilescu).
In the same time the new assistant director of Pavilion UniCredit was  
appointed Simina Neagu, art historian and curator.
Felix Vogel, the curator of the 4th BUCHAREST BIENNALE, appointed  
Andrei Craciun (b. 1988) as assistant curator. Craciun is a curator  
and theoretician, studying architecture at University of Bucharest.  
His research and curatorial practice is focused on the relations  
between architecture, politics and the social sphere.
The team would like to welcome them in the new positions and  
congratulate them for their fantastic work.
The 4th BUCHAREST BIENNALE (Bucharest International Biennial for  
Contemporary Art), generated by Pavilion, journal for politics and  
culture, is set for 21 May - 25 July 2010, under the curatorship of  
Felix Vogel (DE), who chose as research theme "Handlung. On Producing  
Possibilities".

Bucuresti, 28 septembrie 2009 - BUCHAREST BIENNALE are un nou director executiv
IOANA NITU este noul director executiv al BUCHAREST BIENNALE. Nitu  
este manager cultural si a ocupat pozitia de assistant director al  
PAVILION UNICREDIT - centrul pentru arta si cultura contemporana - in  
perioada 2008-2009.
Pozitia de assistant director al PAVILION UNICREDIT a fost ocupata de  
Simina Neagu, istoric de arta si curator.
Felix Vogel, curator al BUCHAREST BIENNALE 2010 a numit in pozitia de  
assistant curator pe Andrei Craciun (n. 1988). Craciun este curator si  
teoretician care studiaza arhitectura la Universitatea din Bucuresti.  
Practica si cercetarea sa se concentrează pe relatia dintre  
arhitectura, politica si sfera sociala. In același timp este interesat  
de ariile de legatura dintre activism, gender, ca si de arhitectura  
participativa.
Echipa organizatiei doreste sa ii felicite pentru activitatea lor  
exceptionala.
A patra bienala internationala de arta contemporana, BUCHAREST  
BIENNALE 4, realizata de Pavilion, revista de  cultura si politica  
contemporana, este programata pentru perioada 21 mai - 25 iulie 2010  
si il are drept curator pe Felix Vogel (Germania), care a ales ca tema  
de cercetare "Handlung. Despre productia posibilitatilor".
