Dr. Marina Grzinic-Mahler will show an extensive visual data of video,
CD-rom and WWW projects and discuss selected artists and activists coming
from Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, Poland, and Bulgaria. She will discuss
processes and concepts in the field of new technology and social arts in
Eastern Europe of the nineties.

Marina Grzinic-Mahler lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia; she received
her Ph.D on the topic of Virtual Reality and Changed Aspects of Time and
Space. Grzinic is the author of  several  books; her most recent book  -
which addresses media, cyberfeminism and post-socialism - was curated by
her and published in 1999.

Ms. Grzinic?s visit is sponsored by the Slovenian Ministry of Science and
Technology and the Slovenian Ministry of Culture.
