15 February 2001: Inauguration of Cultural Center of Artist Women "Lindart", 
Tirana, Albania.

Lindart will open its doors to the public on 15 February 2001.

The focus of the Cultural Center Lindart will be on the supporting and promoting 
Albanian artist women, on the sharing of knowledge and develop collaborative 
project in the old arts and theory, on innovative research and cultural practice 
across old and new media forms.

Lindart offers an environment for innovative encounters between artists, 
theorist, social activist from Albania and abroad and the public and a little 
art shop.

Articles and information concerning Albanian artist women creativity and 
cultural practice in the country and abroad will be available in the Lindart 
magazine. It will be in a recent future available onwards on the web site as 
well.

Lindart emerged from the efforts of the Albanian Artist Women Association 
"Linda" in Tirana. The initiator of the Cultural Center is Eleni Laperi, 
chairwoman of the AAWA Linda.

Cultural Center Lindart is made possible by the support of the Swiss Found Pro 
Helvetia Reseaux Est-Ouest.
