L?esempio più lampante dell?unificazione dei linguaggi
del festival Elettrowave 2006 è forse rappresentato da BIP, Building an Interactive Playground,
progetto sull?interactive design che
Toccherà poi ad oltre 40 progetti artistici
rappresentare le varie anime della cultura digitale negli oltre 20.000 mq del
Centro Affari. Le due sale principali sono orientate al dance floor: Main Room e
Super Room offrono una line up stellare ma non banale, mentre negli altri spazi
si alternano suoni Urban, laboratori audiovisivi e concerti dal
vivo.
L?imponente Main Room ospiterà il venerdì Carl Craig, maestro della Detroit
Techno più raffinata, il giovanissimo Jimmy Edgar, anche lui di Detroit ma
pubblicato dall?europea Warp, etichetta di culto dell?elettronica inglese che
presenta anche Plaid, progetto guida
di tanta intelligent dance music. Su questo palco anche i talenti ?Made in
Elettrowave? Ether, vincitori del
concorso per dj produttori nel 2002 e finalmente approdati al successo
internazionale, anche se di nicchia, con ?Intimo Personelles? su Mousikelab e Lorenzo Rumi e Massimo Trondini di Microhouse, storica serata del
Brancaleone di Roma. Sabato 15 c?è spazio per la dance più contaminata del
momento: quella del clash esplosivo tra rock ed elettronica, tra house e techno:
DFA Soundsystem, l?etichetta
newyorkese che presenta Juan
Maclean, Shit Robot e Tim Sweeney; Justice, i francesi dal dj set che
supera i confini tra pop ed alternativo; Krakatoa, side project di Samuel dei
Subsonica e di Dj Pisti dal sapore house.
Nella Super
Room tutta italiana (in collaborazione con Super Rifle), il venerdì saranno
protagoniste le onde vulcaniche di Gaetano Parisio, Markantonio, Rino Cerrone che si fonderanno tra loro
e con la nuova scuola napoletana, presentando al grande pubblico il talento
della giovane Carola Pisaturo e di
Mario aka Mass, prolifico produttore
partenopeo; il sabato la techno minimale di Alex Neri (vero e proprio padrino della
manifestazione) confluirà nel pop elettronico dei suoi Planetfunk, appena dopo il back to back
tra i nuovi talenti Donato Dozzy e
Fabio della Torre e la insolita
performance tra chitarra e macchine di Signor Andreoni con la straordinaria
partecipazione di Jay Haze.
Nel palco Different Beat, che annualmente
presenta le scene più interessanti del clubbing alternativo, venerdì 14 Morgan Geist e Tomboy faranno i conti con il suono
tutto italiano di certa disco music che ha ispirato alla label Mantra Vibes il
progetto Confuzed Disco, cui hanno
aderito anche i ?nostri? Franz and
Shape ed Ajello; il giorno
successivo si cambia completamente rotta: è tempo di Urban Music con Grime All Star, collettivo dell?Est
side londinese che interpreta al meglio l?omonimo stile che mischia rap ad
r?n?b, hip hop e drum?n bass: un dj e tre mc d?eccezione tra cui Wiley vera nuova star della scena grime
internazionale mentre Kaos
accompagnato da Moddy e DjTrix rappresenterà la street culture
italiana insieme alla drum?n bass di Modulate crew. Dagli Stati Uniti invece
un?accoppiata imperdibile: Eliot
Lipp e Daedelus sono due artisti
con un gusto per il cutting decisamente più raffinato e sperimentale.
Cabaret
Electronique, il palco
con una forte connotazione live presenta quest?anno una serie di varianti sul
tema. Il venerdì la dance suonata dal vivo da Who Made Who si confronterà con il dj
set a più mani di The Glimmers,
mentre Audio AL & JD
affronteranno il palco con un dj set che rende omaggio al carattere innovativo
della loro serata Electrocasbah. Ad
aprire le atmosfere berlinesi di Erbeerdfeld. Il sabato si parte con Alexx aka Alex Petit, patron di Telegraph records
e poi si vola sino a New York con i Nervous Cabaret, band decisamente poco
elettronica nella line up ma ispiratrice di nuove frontiere della musica indie.
Dalla Grande Mela a Mosca dove Messer
Chups ha elaborato un progetto decisamene interessante tra atmosfere noir e
basi elettroniche. Jahcoozi arrivano
invece da Berlino e presentano dal vivo una miscela di hip hop ed electro.
Chiude il palco Max Well progetto
presentato da M2O per media wave. Bose interviene per la produzione
tecnica di questo palco che si avvarrà di un sistema di amplificazione
innovativo a diffusione radiale.
Ma la proposta musicale non si esaurisce qui!
Lo spazio di ricerca Wave Labs propone Sonic Cinema, un?area in cui si
sperimenterà l?impiego del dolby sourround 5.1 per dei live audiovisivi.
Elettrowave presenta ?From error to paradise?, una produzione originale a cura
di Ivan Iusco, già autore delle
musiche di ?Mio Cognato e de ?
Elettrowave, che ha cominciato per primo, tra i grandi
festival italiani, ad occuparsi di visuals, valorizzerà quest?aspetto delle
culture elettroniche attraverso un progetto nuovo su cui
Un nuovo spazio promosso in collaborazione con
ComicsWave, Barballon
#drink?n?comics sarà affidato alla community Self Comics, che sperimenta on line
forme innovative di distribuzione per il fumetto indipendente
italiano.
Per finire e solo per pochi intimi, il T-Rex Panorama offrirà esclusivi party
situazionisti nei meandri dei padiglioni del centro affari di
Arezzo.

Digicult, media partner to Netmage 2006, is glad to present the 6th edition of the Elettrowave 2006 international festival.
Fondazione Arezzo Wave Italia presents:

Elettrowave 2006 fully embraces this concept and develops a new and
more open minded collective identity by presenting a program that aims at mixing
different styles and personalities. The clearest example of languages
unification is best represented by BIP, Building an Interactive Playground.
This is a project based on interactive designs launched during last fall by the
Arezzo Wave Foundation and TODO in
collaboration with Ars Nova which is
the Academy of Multimedia Arts of Siena. 42 groups of artists from all over the
world took part to ' Call for Works' which is a particular scholarship created
for club culture projects. The winners of this scholarscship were 3 very
different projects. The 1st is Light

The
The
Main Room and the Super Room are what we conceive as our main dance floors
presenting a line-up filled with not-so obvious stars while, the other spaces,
will focus more on Urban Sounds, audio-visuals laboratories and live concerts.
Friday
14th July the imposing Main
Room will bring to our audience Carl
Craig master of the most refined Detroit Techno as well as the young Jimmy Edgar, also from Detroit and
released in Europe on Warp, the UK electronic label par excellence which will
also present Plaid which is most
definitely considered as a leading product of intelligent dance music. On the
same stage we will also have the opportunity to enjoy new talents like Ether, winner of the Elettrowave
Challenge contest in 2002 and now fully acclaimed on a worldwide level with
'Intimo Personelles' on Mousikelab. We will also have Lorenzo Rumi e Massimo Trodini aka Microhouse from the mythical Roman
night at Brancaleone.
Saturday 15th is dedicated instead to the most contaminated contemporary dance
generated from the explosive clash between rock and electronic as well as house
and techno. It will be the turn of the DFA Soundsystem the NY based label
which will bring you Juan Maclean, Shit
Robot and Tim Sweeney. Together with this, we will introduce you to the DJ
set of the French artists Justice
who creates a perfect mix that goes well beyond pop and alternative. More to
come with the housey flavoured collaboration Krakatoa, the side project of Samuel of
Subsonica and DJ Pisti.
The Super Room,
conceived with the support of Super
Rifle will be fully dedicated to some Italian artists. On the Friday the main protagonist will be the
volcanic waves of Gaetano Parisio,
Markantonio and Rino Cerrone who will merge into one main project and will
be joined also by the new Neapolitan school. We will present in fact the
freshest talent of Carola Pisaturo
and Mario aka Mass, the prolific
Parthenopean producer. On the Saturday it will be the turn of the
minimal techno style of Alex Neri,
the true godfather of Elettrowave 2006. Alex will join the electronic pop of his
own project Planetfunk and follow
the back to back of Donato Dozzy and
Fabio della Torre, and also the
unusual performance of Signor
Andreoni who fuses guitar sounds and effects and who will be granted of the
extraordinary participation of Jay
Haze.
The 'Different Beat'
stage is the one where we usually present the best of the alternative club
scene. On Friday 14th we will have
Morgan Geist and Tomboy who are both artists who have
come across with that particular Italian sound which already inspired the
project Confuzed Disco on the label
Mantra Vibes. Italian Franz and Shape and Ajello will all take part to this
project. The following day, 15th
July, we will give you the opportunity to enjoy a complete change of
direction by introducing you to the sound of the best Urban Sound with the
Cabaret Electronique is our true live stage and it is the place where we will introduce
you to the most varied live typologies of electronic sounds. On Friday there
will be live music by Who Made Who
and a particular DJ set played with more than just two hands and featuring The Glimmers. Audio Al & JD from Electrocasbah
will take to the stage a dh set with pure electro soul whereas Erbeerdfeld will bring you a truly
Berlinese sound. Saturday will take off with Alex Petit aka ALEXX patron of
Logistics and Telegraph Records and followed by Nervous Cabaret a band from NY not very
electronic and inspired on the contrary by the newest Indie sounds. From The Big
Apple To
Elettrowave will also present in this space 'From error to
Paradise', an original production by Ivan Iusco composer of the soundtracks
of films like 'Mio cognato', 'La capa gira' and also label manager of Minus
Habens. The Red Bull Home Groove
family will present Ezra with the
clear intention of fully developping this very ambitious theme. Sonic Cinema is sponsored by Red Bull Home Groove in fact.
Elettrowave was the very 1st Italian huge festival focused on
visuals and, will emphasize this aspect of all electronic trends by dedicating a
particular area to a brand new project launched by the Foundation Arezzo Wave
Italia , curated by VJ Central with the support of IED, arti visive, Milan
(European Institute of Design). The VJ
School will work on an artistic level as well as the technical and logistic
aspect of this culture. The project is curated by Claudio Sinatti and Davide Di Grandolfo aka DDG while Visualab will take care of the staging
of all the different rooms, invited vj?s are also Kinotek, Blanche, Besegher.
Another new space created in collaboration with ComicsWave is Barballon drink'n'comics curated by the
community of Self Comics and aimed
at experimenting on-line ways distributing Italian independent comics. Last but
not least and not for too many of you is T-Rex Panorama an exclusive production
which will put together situational parties in very specific zones of the Centro
Convegni.
