[Nettime-bold] ISEA ANNOUNCEMENT (English/Francais)

ISEA (the Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts) is currently
transforming its organizational structure. Collaborative efforts
with groups throughout the world will replace the single headquarters
that previously was in Montreal.

The ISEA Board of Directors invites proposals from arts centers,
universities, and other non-profit organizations who would like to host
a part of the ISEA organization.


Possible activities include:
- publishing our newsletter (regularly, or in cooperation with others)

- maintaining the ISEA web site

- developing/revising a specific section of the web site (members pages,
list of artist grants, etc.)

- developing educational materials for ISEA

- developing a mentoring program

- representing ISEA in other international efforts

- maintaining contact with our members

- global outreach

- developing geographic networks of individuals and organizations in
electronic arts, especially in those areas where ISEA has not been active
in the past

- developing discipline specific networks of individuals and organizations
 (sound, curators, etc.)

- working on events that could be co-sponsored by ISEA

- ISEA “chats" either on the web site or through the ISEA forum

- WE ARE OPEN TO OTHER SUGGESTIONS


Activities can be shared among several organizations (for example,
the newsletter might rotate).

Organizations which are interested in hosting a part of the ISEA should send
the following information by February 10 to:

Once an organization is selected, we will enter into a written agreement
concerning the use of the ISEA name.

Organizations are encouraged to seek their own funds to support ISEA
activities.
Grants submitted to funding agencies in the name of ISEA must be
distributed to
the ISEA Board of Directors 30 days before their deadline, so that the
Board can
provide feedback and assure the consistent development of ISEA efforts. Grants
which are not in English must include a summary in English, and the full
version
in the original language.

Long term projects may include a local and/or international advisory board
including ISEA members who may volunteer to work with various organizations
throughout the world.

We look forward to building a strong international electronic art community
through all of your efforts.

ISEA change ses modalitiés d'organisation. Ses efforts porterons sur la
collaboration avec des groupes dans le monde entier, et cala va remplacer
le siege unique qui était située à Montréal.

Le conseil d'administration d'ISEA invite des propositions des centres d'arts,
des universities et des autres organisations à but non lucratif qui voudraient
accueillir une partie des activites d'ISEA.

- le développement globale d'ISEA

-le développement des réseaux géographiques des individus et des organisations
dans le domain des arts électroniques, particuliérement dans les zones ou ISEA
 n'a pas encore un presence significante

- le développement des réseaux par discipline (individus et organisations) :
son/musique, commisaires d'expositions, etc...

- participer aux événements qui pourraient être co-sponsorizé par ISEA -

- ainimer des "chats" d'ISEA sur le site Web ou par le liste de discussion de
forum d'ISEA

- NOUS SOMMES OUVERTS AU AUTRES POSSIBILITIES!

Les groupes qui sont intéressées par le possibilitie d'accueillir une
partie de l'ISEA

Une fois qu'une organisation est sélectionée pour une activitie, nous
signernons un
accord écrit sur l'utilisation du nom d'ISEA.

Des organisations sont encouragés de trouver leurs propres fonds pour des
activités
 d'ISEA. Des propositios pour les souventions soumises aux agences au nom
d'ISEA
 doivent être distribuées au conseil d'administration d'ISEA 30 jours avant

date-limite, pour le raison que le conseil puisse fournir le "feedback"

et assurer le développement uniforme des efforts d'ISEA. Les propositions
qui ne sont
 pas écrites en anglais doivent inclure un sommaire en anglais, et

Les projets à long terme peuvent inclure un comité consultatif local et/ou
internationale comprenant les membres d'ISEA qui peuvent offrir de travailler
avec des divers organisation dans le monde entier.

Grâce à tous vos efforts nous attendons avec intêret l'etablissement d'une
communauté forte dans le domains des artes électroniques.
