Ok, so I exagerated a little... I still think committees have way too much 
to do. Especially committees as he describes them. In a group we did a 
little experiment of acting as a Parecon committee to decide what the price 
of a specific commodity should be in our area. We couldn't even agree on 
what method of decision making to use. Some people wanted majority rule, 
some wanted consensus, others wanted a complex system of weighing different 
individuals based on who they represent and what their stake in the matter 
was, etc. We all ended up pissed off and frustrated with each other and 
never even began to actually decide anything substantive. It turned into a 
very long and unproductive discussion/argument on the different merits of 
various group decision making processes.
